Asbestos Awareness (ROSPA Endorsed)

This course will introduce the learner to the forms, health risks, and safe management of asbestos. This eLearning provides awareness education. Face-to-face training, coaching, or supervision will also be needed in order to gain the skills and knowledge required for full competence and practical ability in this subject. The duration of this course is 20 minutes and can be completed over multiple sessions. By the end of this course you will be able to: • List the three main types of asbestos • List some of the common locations where asbestos is found • Recall the main health risks arising from asbestos use • Identify key features of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 • Distinguish between licensed, notifiable non-licensed, and non-licensed work with asbestos • Recall the key requirements of the duty to manage asbestos • Outline the legal requirements related to the disposal of asbestos waste • Overview the need for information, instruction, and training
