COSHH Awareness (ROSPA Endorsed)

This course aims to enable you to understand what hazardous substances are, and the basic safe working procedures established by the COSHH Regulations 2002. This eLearning provides awareness education. Face-to-face training, coaching, or supervision would be needed in addition in order to complete the all-round skills and knowledge to be able to carry this forward practically in your organisation. The duration of this course is 20 minutes and can be completed over multiple sessions. By the end of this course you will be able to: • State what is meant by ‘COSHH’ • State how substances can cause harm • List the hazardous substances that fall outside COSHH Regulations • List examples of hazardous substances • List the COSHH eight-step process for making the workplace safe from harm • Detail the purpose of safety data sheets • Recall the importance of the hazard symbol • Detail the purpose of safety data sheets • List the COSHH eight-step process for making the workplace safe from harm
